The historic townhouse with its elegant façade was renovated in 2016 and redesigned into our now well-known day-restaurant Altes Backhaus. In 2018, the apartments were integrated into the
historical building.
Four beautiful apartments, all equipped with kitchenettes and air conditioning systems offer directly in the city center next to the town hall each room for 2-4 people.
The central location to the cultural highlights of Eisenstadt, the Esterhazy Palace, the Haydn House or the cultural center with the Haydn Festival are only a few steps away, leaves an
unforgettable memory
Our apartments

Apartment 1: Schlosspark
From our apartment Schlosspark you´ll have a side view on the Franziskaner church with adjoining castle park. It consists of a 22 square meter kitchen with pull-out couch and an open-plan bedroom
with adjoining bathroom / WC (no separating door between bedroom and living room)

Apartment 2: Fürst
The name of this apartment has a double meaning. On the one hand, of course, it refers to the history of Eisenstadt under Prince Esterhazy, on the other hand it is also a link to our craft. The
Fürst family, who also lived in this house, ran a bakery here until about 60 years ago, the origin of which was still in the days of Haydn. Our own family-company has existed since 1746 and is
thus the oldest company in Eisenstadt. We started out as confectioners, gingerbread and wax-makers, and today we are a traditional bakery and pastry shop with a vitality day restaurant. Our
largest apartment consists of a 20 sqm eat-in kitchen with pull-out couch and a 19 m2 bedroom, an anteroom, a bath / WC.

Apartment 3: Esterhazy
Since 1622 the name Esterhazy is inextricably linked with Eisenstadt.
Apartment Esterhazy is not impressive because of its size, in fact it is our smallest with 32 square meters. However, it is located with Apartment 4, the Haydn apartment in the oldest part of our
house. It has fine hirstorical details, where you can feel the long history of this house. It also can be combined with Apartment 4 to a spacious suite. It consists of a 11.5 square
meter entrance hall with built-in kitchen and dining table and a 18 m2 bedroom, a bathroom / WC and is ideal for 2 people.

Apartment 4: Haydn
We dedicated this apartment to the great artist Joseph Haydn. It is located beside Apartment 3 in the oldest part of our house. Here you can also literally feel the history of this old hous, for
example the partly leaning walls, the old stucco or through the centuries-old spy-windows.
The Haydn apartment with a total of 45 m2 consists of a nearly 30m2 large room with double bed, half-height room divider, living area with sofa bed, desk and dining table, a 11 sqm entrance hall
with built-in kitchen, a bathroom / WC and is ideal for 2 people , whereby the couch offers an additional sleep possibility for 1 further person. Last but not least, it can be combined with
Apartment 3 to form a spacious suite.

Check In
Check-in: 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m
Departure: 08:00 - 10:00
The rooms are normally available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you want to arrive earlier,
just let us know. Should there be any delay here due to late departures, you can definitely check in and
store your luggage with us. On the other hand, if you plan to arrive after 5:30 p.m., PLEASE MAKE SURE
you let us know so that we can send you the relevant information for late arrivals (key-safe)
Our restaurant closes at 6:00 p.m!
Breakfast
The apartments are equipped with coffee makers and cooking / cooling facilities. If you do not want to do the breakfast yourself, our vital restaurant is at your disposal. We open at 8:30 a.m., for house guests it is possible to take breakfast in the restaurant from 8:00 a.m. We have great breakfast offers, from the classic "Eisenstädter" breakfast with "Kipferl" (bricoche-croissant), "Semmel" (rolls), coffee, orange juice, butter and jam up to our "deluxe breakfast" with homemade salmon trout, roasted vegetables, ham and different cheese, Prosciutto by Hans Bauer, Pöttelsdorf, eggs, fresh friut salad and freshly squeezed orange juice and much more. Even health-conscious people are reminded, whether "Overnight oats" or vital breakfast with yoghurt and fresh fruits, some more vegan, vegetarian but also traditional varieties complete the program. We are recommended as Eisenstadt's breakfast-restaurant number 1!
Parking
Parking in Eisenstadt
Our Restaurant and Apartment house is located in the pedestrian zone in the center of Eisenstadt.
The inner town is a short-term parking zone from 8:00 to 16:00, Saturday 8:00 to 12:00, free on Sundays.
1,2 € / hour, max. Parking duration 3 hours. Easy to book by "Handy Parking" (www.handyparken.at)
In the near parking station APCOA "Rathausplatz" you can comfortably park longer.
